Bulk Orders for Teams and Programs

You want mentally tough athletes with real character.
You don’t have a systematic way to build both.

You tell your athletes to be mentally tough. To have character. To represent Christ in how they compete. Then you go coach the sport, manage the parents, handle the logistics, and try to win games.

Nobody has time to become a sports psychologist and a chaplain on top of that.

The tools that exist don’t help much. Team devotionals talk about God’s love but never touch pre-game anxiety, the identity collapse after an injury, or leading through a losing season. Sports psychology has the mechanics and leaves out the faith foundation you actually want them to have.

Champion’s Faith Journal is built to close that gap, and to do it without adding anything to your week.

What Makes It Different

Most athlete devotionals hand you a verse and hope.

Every weekly reflection in this journal runs across two facing pages.

The left page teaches. A scripture passage, then a short paragraph explaining what it means and how it connects to what your athletes actually face. They’re never left guessing.

The right page asks. Three questions. The first gets them into a memory. The second is deliberately uncomfortable and forces honest self-examination. The third turns it into a specific action for the week.

That structure exists because of coach feedback. The first edition was tested by athletes, coaches, and chaplains at the professional, university, and high school levels, and what came back was that the reflections referenced spiritual ideas without teaching them. One experienced university coach read a reflection and said she didn’t know what it was asking her. The current edition was rebuilt around that.

What It Asks of You

Almost nothing. That’s the point.

Athletes work independently. 10 minutes a day, 20 minutes once a week. No team meetings required. No devotional leadership from you. No curriculum to learn.

You hand it out. They do the work.

If you want more involvement, there are options below. But the baseline requires nothing from your schedule.

How Programs Use It

Standard. Distribute at a pre-season meeting. Athletes work through it independently across the year.

With team language. Same as above, but you reference the week’s theme in team talks. 10 seconds, not a devotional. It gives the group shared vocabulary around character and composure.

Leadership cohort. Captains and team leaders only. They model the practice, and it doubles as a leadership development tool.

Annual program. Each incoming class gets one at the start of their season. It’s a 52 week journal, so each athlete works through their own year. Graduating seniors hand one to an incoming freshman. Over time it becomes part of how your program brings athletes in.

Every bulk order includes the Coach’s Implementation Guide: three program models, recommended timelines, and what to watch for week by week.

What It’s Built to Develop

This tool is built by a coach, tested by athletes and coaches across three levels of sport, rebuilt on their criticism, and grounded in research checked against the source papers.

Here’s what the 52 weeks are structured to build.

Weeks 1-13, Foundation. Power, preparation, character. Confidence rooted in something other than last week’s result.

Weeks 14-26, Identity. Uniqueness, calling, focus. Who an athlete is when the scoreboard isn’t telling them. This is the work that keeps a benched starter from falling apart.

Weeks 27-40, Resilience. Adversity, fear, composure. Injury, performance anxiety, fear of failure, and the comparison trap.

Weeks 41-51, Leadership. Humility, service, legacy. Leading the way Christ led, through service rather than status.

The final reflection on week 52 sends each athlete back to their Week 1 answers, in their own handwriting.

Founding Programs

We’re actively looking for a small number of programs to run this in a full season and tell us what happens.

If that’s you, say so when you request a quote. Founding programs get direct access during implementation, input on the Coach’s Guide, and we work with you on pricing. In exchange we ask for honest feedback at the end of the season and, if it worked, permission to say so.

A 30-athlete team at $40 each is $1,200. Across a full year that’s $23 a week for the entire team, or 77 cents per athlete per week. Less than a sports drink.

For comparison, a motivational speaker runs $2,000 to $5,000 for a single event. A sports psychologist runs $150 to $300 per session. Most character curricula run $50 to $100 per athlete annually.

How to Order

Email hello@championfaithjournal.com with your program name and location, sport, number of athletes, and any date you need it by.

We send a quote within one to two business days, including pricing, a firm timeline, and payment options. Purchase orders accepted from schools and registered non-profits.

We produce and ship on approval. Single copies typically arrive in 7-12 days. Bulk orders take longer to print, and we’ll give you an exact window with your quote rather than a guess.

Order 4-6 weeks before your season starts. That gets journals in hand with time for athletes to establish the practice before competition pressure arrives.

Questions

Can we see one first?
Yes, and we’d encourage it. Most programs order one or two copies to review before committing. The physical object is most of the argument.

Do athletes need to be strong in their faith already?
No. Three translations at different reading levels, and every reflection teaches the concept before asking anything. Accessible regardless of biblical background.

What sports is it for?
Any competitive sport. The language is sport-general, and the situations, pressure, injury, benching, team conflict, losing, are universal.

What denominations?
NIV, CEV, and NRSV, with no denominational-specific theology. Appropriate for Catholic, Protestant, and non-denominational programs.

Can public schools buy this?
Booster clubs and parent organizations purchase regularly, and we accept purchase orders from schools and registered non-profits.

Can we add copies mid-season?
Yes, no minimum on additional copies once an initial order is placed.

What if something’s wrong with them?
Damaged or defective journals are replaced at no cost. If your program isn’t satisfied with quality or content within 30 days, email us and we’ll make it right.
